Riyadh – 3 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were intercepted and destroyed north of the Saudi capital, Riyadh, according to the spokesperson for the Saudi-led Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen.
The coalition spokesperson stated that air defense systems successfully detected and intercepted the three drones before they could reach their intended targets. No casualties or damage were immediately reported following the operation.
The interception comes amid ongoing security tensions in the region and continued efforts by coalition forces to counter aerial threats targeting Saudi Arabia. The coalition has repeatedly emphasized its commitment to protecting civilians and critical infrastructure from hostile attacks.
