Mid-term assessments for students in Grade 4 and above are underway in schools supported by the Sindh Education Foundation (SEF) Govt of Sindh across Sindh to evaluate learning levels, monitor academic progress and identify areas requiring improvement. SEF Managing Director Gahanwer Ali Laghari visited several SEF-supported schools in Karachi to review the examinations and interact with students.
During the visits, he observed the assessment process and emphasised the importance of maintaining quality and transparency.
Laghari said the assessments would help gauge students’ learning outcomes and identify gaps requiring further attention. SEF teams from the head office have been deployed to various districts to provide technical assistance to school staff, monitor examinations and ensure that standard procedures are followed.
During his visit to the Save the Future School, supported by SEF in Lyari, the Managing Director also interacted with students and exchanged greetings with Hindu students celebrating Navratri. He encouraged the school management to organise an event on Diwali to promote inclusivity, interfaith harmony and respect for cultural diversity among students.
SEF officials said the field monitoring was aimed at ensuring the smooth conduct of assessments and strengthening efforts to improve learning outcomes across its supported schools.
