TENCU will launch Bankjoy the same day it converts to Corelation's KeyStone core, so members will move to a new core and a new digital banking experience in one coordinated conversion.
TENCU members will now have access to Bankjoy's consumer and business digital banking, protected by FraudSense, Bankjoy's real-time, multi-layered fraud prevention platform. The launch also includes advanced card controls through a tight integration with Velera. JoyCompass, Bankjoy's financial wellness platform, and Plaid-powered account verification and aggregation are part of the agreement and can be turned on after launch.
Bankjoy connects directly to KeyStone through Corelation's KeyBridge API and was the first fintech certified through Corelation's vendor certification program. That direct integration lets TENCU run its digital banking on its new core from the first day, with no second digital conversion to plan afterward.
“A core conversion is the most important project a credit union can undertake. Our members trust us to get this right, and we know digital banking has to be ready on day one. We can’t treat it as an afterthought,” said Michael Roussel, Chief Innovation Officer. “Bankjoy has proven to work seamlessly with KeyStone, and we’re confident they’ll not only be an awesome partner to TENCU, but they will deliver the best experience for our members."
“TENCU has served Tennessee educators and their communities for more than 75 years, and we're honored they chose Bankjoy for their next chapter,” said Michael Duncan, CEO of Bankjoy. “Credit unions moving to KeyStone want a digital partner that already knows the core and has launched on it many times. That experience is what we bring to TENCU, along with real-time fraud protection and tools that help members do more with their money.”
TENCU joins a growing group of credit unions that pair Bankjoy with KeyStone. The credit unions that are using Bankjoy with Corelation's KeyStone core, are seeing measurable gains in member engagement. At CommunityWide Federal Credit Union, 91.8% of members who created a budget in JoyCompass remained active in digital banking after three months, compared with 66.4% of members who did not use Spending Analysis. More credit unions are also choosing KeyStone: Corelation reported earlier this month that six credit unions with more than $5.4 billion in combined assets selected the core in the third quarter of 2026.
