How great to have a night out, enjoy some food, test your brain and do some good? Bridges Bar is hosting a charity quiz with dinner, music and raffle prizes, all in aid of local animal rescue, organised by a well-loved friend of the community.
Pop 7pm on Monday, November 2 into your diary. Tickets cost €15 per person and includes the quiz and a hot buffet, so dinner is sorted and no washing up required.
Three quizzes in one evening
Organisers have lined up three separate rounds: General Knowledge, Music and a Marathon quiz. Teams can play to different strengths, so if history is not your forte, the music round might be your moment to shine. A raffle with prizes runs through the night too, giving everyone one more chance to go home a winner, and music will keep the atmosphere buzzing even if you don’t answer a single question.
Where the money goes
PADS, the Protectora de Animales Domesticos Mijas Costa, will receive all proceeds raised on the night. It runs a small shelter that tries to save as many animals as possible, though a lack of food, veterinary care and donations can limit what volunteers achieve. Organisers say the funds will support the rescue, care and rehoming of animals across the area.
How to book your place
Spaces are reserved directly with Jack on 620 786 772. Call him to book a spot for yourself or your whole team.
Anyone who has settled on the Costa del Sol knows how welcoming the community can be, and a charity quiz is a lovely way to meet neighbours, make new friends and catch up with familiar faces. You do not need to be a trivia expert, as a sense of humour and a healthy appetite will carry you a long way. Gather friends, neighbours or the regulars from your local, invent a daft team name and come hungry. A fun Monday evening out could help animals find safety and, one day, a loving home.
