The Congolese Rhumba legend had been one of the headline acts at Machoka's milestone celebration, and by most accounts, the show was a roaring success. After the event, the veteran broadcaster shared a video reflecting on the evening and thanking Kenyan Rhumba fans for their support.

Rather than address the incident directly, the 70-year-old musician returned home and shared a series of posts on social media, each one captioned with two crown emojis and a thunderbolt (👑👑⚡️), which many interpreted as a not-so-subtle reminder of where he believes he stands in the pecking order.
