A headteacher is facing an investigation into his conduct after he allegedly groped a primary school pupil on multiple occasions.
The General Teaching Council of Scotland is set to investigate the unnamed teacher’s actions at a Scottish primary school.
The teacher is alleged to have repeatedly touched the boy, referred to as Pupil A, on a number of occasions while the child was in primary five through to primary seven.
He is alleged to have repeatedly touched the boy’s back and repeatedly rubbed his clothes.
The teacher is also alleged to have touched the child’s leg and moved his hand up the boy’s thigh before touching or attempting to touch his genitals. This is said to have occurred while the pupil was in P6 or P7.
A further allegation claims the teacher also placed his hand on the boy’s back, then moved his hand down and touched the child’s buttocks over his clothes. This was also said to have occurred while the child was in P6 or P7, and in the month of either March or April in an unnamed year.
The GTCS investigation alleges the teacher’s actions were sexually motivated.
The probe will determine whether the teacher’s fitness to practice is impaired and is set to begin on Monday.
