CJ ONE, the lifestyle membership platform operated by CJ Olivenetworks, said on the 15th that it is launching "CJ ONE Global," a membership service for foreign visitors to South Korea.
Foreign customers who sign up for CJ ONE Global can immediately earn and redeem points at major partner brands in Korea and receive benefits such as coupons. Any foreign visitor can join with email verification alone, without a local mobile phone number or identification card. CJ ONE is a membership platform with about 32 million members that has expanded its partnerships beyond CJ Group affiliates into dining, shopping and leisure, including Mega MGC Coffee, emart24, Dongdaemun Yeopgi Tteokbokki and NOL.
The benefits are structured around the main spending routes of foreign tourists, covering tourism, shopping, dining and convenience stores. Global members receive exclusive benefits at partners commonly encountered on a trip through Korea, including tourist attractions such as N Seoul Tower, shopping channels such as Shinsegae Duty Free, dining brands such as Tous les Jours and Mega MGC Coffee, convenience stores such as CU and emart24, and Gourmet Bridge at Incheon International Airport. Some partners offer coupons through separate dedicated pages. The service currently supports English and Japanese, with more languages planned.
CJ Olivenetworks said it plans to secure foreign members through the service while expanding its role as an integrated membership that connects foreign visitors with partner brands. The company also intends to use data on how global members use those brands to identify foreign consumer demand and to raise the overseas profile of Korean brands.
"CJ ONE Global is a starting point that connects global customers and a range of partner brands through a single membership," a CJ ONE official said. "Through more differentiated benefits and services for global members, we will contribute to spreading the K-lifestyle globally and creating business opportunities."
