Safran Electrical & Power, a world leader in aircraft electrical systems and a subsidiary of the French aerospace group Safran, has inaugurated a new extension to its facilities located in the suburbs of Moroccan city Temara, near Rabat.
This extension supports the site’s continued growth and strengthens Safran’s industrial capabilities to meet the needs of major global aerospace programs.
The 5,700-square-metre extension brings the site’s total surface area to 31,400 square meters. It supports the ramp-up of civil and military aerospace programs and strengthens Safran’s industrial capabilities in the design and production of electrical cables and electrical equipment.
Each year, the site manufactures nearly 93,000 electrical harnesses for several major programs, including the Airbus A320 and A350, Airbus Helicopters aircraft and the H160 helicopter.
With more than 1,600 employees, the Témara site is now one of the key players in Morocco’s aerospace industry and contributes directly to Safran’s global operational performance.
Inaugurated in 2006, the Témara plant has undergone several successive phases of expansion to support the growth of aerospace production and the development of new programs, culminating in the extension inaugurated today.
Thanks to its industrial expertise and the continuous development of its teams’ skills, the site plays a central role in Safran Electrical & Power’s production network. It contributes to the development of electrical connectivity solutions that meet the highest standards of the global aerospace industry.
Through this new investment, Safran Group reaffirms its confidence in Morocco’s industrial ecosystem and its long-term commitment to supporting the development of a competitive and innovative aerospace industry that creates skilled jobs.
