The Dallas Cowboys suffered a rough 23-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers on "Sunday Night Football," prompting fans to speculate if the team would make changes in the coaching staff. Something hasn't been clicking within the team the past two games.
Could head coach Brian Schottenheimer's job be in danger? Even though some may think it is, it sounds like Schottenheimer is safe, at least for now.
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones spoke on "105.3 The Fan" on Monday and emphasized that him and owner Jerry Jones "absolutely" believe in Schottenheimer as head coach.
“There’s not any question in Jerry and my mind," Jones said, via The Athletic's Jon Machota. "He has the team. There’s no question they want to go out there and execute and make things happen. Feel really good about our coaching staff. We just got to have it continue to evolve and get to a point to where we can win these football games.”

Based on Jones's answer, it seems that the Cowboys don't plan to make any coaching changes at this time. So, it's safe to assume offensive coordinator Klayton Adams and defensive coordinator Christian Parker are also both in the clear for now.
Offensively, the Cowboys are doing O.K. as they sit pretty middle of the pack in statistics. However, defensively is where the Cowboys find more struggles. They rank 28th in yards allowed per attempt (7.9), 27th in first downs allowed (73) and they're tied for last in the league with just one interception so far this season.
The Cowboys clearly haven't been able to stop their opponents defensively from scoring and eventually beating them. They now sit 2-4 on the season, and they will need to quickly turn things around if they want a chance of making the playoffs this year.
