Silver Strikers beat Moyale Barracks 1-0 in the FDH Bank Premiership at Mzuzu Stadium on Sunday, with defender Innocent Shema scoring the only goal.

Shema headed in after seven minutes from a Chinsinsi Maonga free-kick from the right, beating goalkeeper Jeremiah Simfukwe.
The visitors controlled the first half. Moyale Barracks pushed hard in the final 15 minutes, winning free-kicks and corners without equalising.
They also won more corners in the second half but could not get through before referee Melluce Nyirongo blew the final whistle.
Ernest Petro was named Silver Strikers’ player of the match.
Interim Silver Strikers coach Patricio Kulemeka said: “Our mission was to win this match. We’ve done it and I’m excited. We were coming from a defeat in our last game. Today we defended well and it’s the 3 points that matter.”
Moyale Barracks coach Prichard Mwansa said his side must change their attitude. “We did everything but at the end of the day we have lost,” he said.
“There are positives to dwell on and there are many games to play, so all is not lost.”
Silver Strikers have 32 points from 17 games and stay fourth. Moyale Barracks have 21 points from 17.
