Elbows at the ready, because Aldi has revealed its first-ever cocktail advent calendar – and it’s six times cheaper than Moth’s.
Launching in stores this Sunday 25 October, the Infusionist Cocktail Advent Calendar – which Aldi tells us was ahem 'inspired' by Moth's – costs just £12.99, while Moth’s Cocktail Advent Calendar will set you back £79.

But before you go rushing out to be first in line, there is a bit of a catch.
While Moth’s calendar contains 24 cocktails, Aldi’s is a mix of cocktails and chocolates, so you won’t be getting a boozy treat behind every door. Still, at £12.99, we can hardly complain.
Aldi's 125ml canned cocktails include the Infusionist Spicy Margarita, Espresso Martini and Passion Fruit Martini, alongside indulgent chocolate truffles.
So, if you like the idea of a cocktail countdown but don’t fancy spending £79 on an advent calendar, Aldi’s could be a very tempting alternative. And we have to say, the combination of cocktails and chocolate sounds pretty good to us. Who says you have to choose?
If you can’t be bothered with the bun fight, however, Moth's Cocktail Advent Calendar is already available to buy online, so you can get your festive cocktail countdown sorted without battling the middle aisle. It sells out every year, contains 11 delicious flavours (our favourite is the mango margarita), and this year the brand has hidden 10 golden cans inside. Find one and you’ll win a year's worth of Moth!
And if cocktails aren’t quite your thing, Aldi is also bringing back its £12.99 Ballycastle Country Cream Advent Calendar. This year’s version features Classic Country Cream, White Chocolate Cream and Chocolate, Hazelnut & Caramel Cream, plus a new addition: chocolate truffles.
Both of Aldi's boozy advent calendars will be available in stores from 25 October.
