Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana on Tuesday laid the foundation stone for twin towers (T1 and T2) at Quantum Valley in Uddandarayunipalem, marking a step towards developing Amaravati as a technology and innovation hub.
The two towers will come up on 11 acres of the 50-acre Quantum Valley, alongside the Seed Access Road. Each tower will rise to 206 metres and have 47 floors, including common basement facilities, four podium levels and 43 upper floors. The project will have a combined built-up area of 37,48,847 sq. ft. and an estimated cost of ₹1,002.49 crore. Construction is scheduled to be completed in 30 months.
The complex will house advanced technology facilities, research and innovation centres, and modern workspaces. It will also have office spaces, food courts, multipurpose halls, parking facilities and other essential services.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Narayana said eight towers were planned in Quantum Valley. The twin towers being launched would generate employment for 25,000 people upon completion, he said.
Highlighting the applications of quantum computing in defence, healthcare, banking and disaster-loss mitigation, he said the technology could transform these sectors by processing multiple possibilities simultaneously.
The Minister said the government would ensure the timely completion of the project and create employment opportunities by providing world-class infrastructure and advanced technological facilities in Amaravati.
