After a two-week break, the 2026 National Bank of Malawi (NBM) Women’s Premiership returns with blockbuster fixtures.
The league was on recess due to the international break as the Malawi Women’s National Football Team, the Scorchers, were in action against Zimbabwe Tuesday in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics Games qualifiers.
The pick of week-four fixture is the Lilongwe derby between Silver Strikers Ladies and Civil Service United Women at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe City this coming Saturday.
This is a high-stake match as, apart from points, Capital City bragging rights are at stake.
Both sides have started the 2026 NBM Women’s Premiership on a high.

Silver Ladies have a 100 percent record in this campaign, having won all the three opening matches.
The Central Bankers Ladies have nine points, above second-placed FCB Nyasa Big Bullets on goal difference.
Silver Ladies Coach Shadreck Chikhosi has refused to get carried away with the team’s impressive start to the season.
“We take each game as it comes. Our ambition is to retain the championship,” he said.
Civil, on the other hand, have won two matches and one loss. The Servants Women are the highest scoring team, having netted 10 goals, two above Silver Ladies.
Civo Women Coach Collins Pofera said their focus was on getting all the points against Silver Ladies.
“It will be a tough match but we are preparing for it,” he said.
On Sunday, Bullets will face Ascent Academy at Mpira Stadium in an early kickoff whereas Ntopwa will meet Wanderers’ Queens.
The NBM Women’s Premiership returns with a fixture between Fact Ladies and Chitoliro at Nankhaka Stadium tomorrow.
Lionesses will face Rumphi Sisters at Nankhaka Stadium.
