The Women Protection Wing of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) has arrested a 28-year-old rowdy sheeter who had been absconding in connection with a case registered at the K.G. Halli Police Station.
The accused, Pradeep alias Godamatte, was arrested on October 14 near the HMT Factory in the limits of the Jalahalli Police Station, following a tip-off, according to the CCB.
Pradeep is an accused in a case registered under Section 310(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which deals with dacoity, and relevant sections of the Karnataka Control of Organised Crime Act, 2000.
A separate case was previously registered against him at the Bagalagunte Police Station in Bengaluru, said the CCB. Following the arrest, the CCB prepared a report and handed him over to the K.G. Halli police for further legal action.
