The clip, filmed after the 7pm news bulletin, shows Rashid leaning in and posing what appeared to be a riddle to his co-anchor and wife, holding her gaze as he delivered it.
What did Rashid tell Lulu Hassan?
"Lulu ntakuambia kitu. Wakati daktari ako hospitalini halafu halafu anataka kumchoma mgonjwa sindano. Raha ya mgonjwa ni dawa iingie mwilini ama uchungu wa ile sindano?" he asked, which translates to:

"Lulu, I want to tell you something. When a doctor is in the hospital and then wants to inject a patient with a needle. Is the patient's joy the medicine entering the body or the pain of that needle?"
Lulu, visibly amused, replied:
"Dawa ikimuingia mwilini," meaning "The medicine entering his/her body."
Rashid was not done. He pressed further, asking what brought joy to the person administering the injection — was it watching the medicine go in, or the moment the needle was withdrawn?
Lulu responded with laughter, saying it was the moment of withdrawal, before the clip cut off and left viewers to draw their own conclusions.
The video was widely reshared across social media, and when it eventually landed back on Lulu's radar, her response was short but expressive:
"Sasa hii ni gani tena?" — loosely translated as "Now what is this again?"
The clip pulled in a wave of reactions, with many Kenyans convinced the exchange carried a deeper, more romantic undercurrent between the long-married couple.
