Inter BDA claimed the Carlsberg Charity Cup after beating YGSC at Devonshire Recreation Club on Friday [October 23].
Shaquille Trott [4], Thales Francis, Marley Hines, Scott Redmond and Lucas DeSilva scored for the league champions.
Antwan Russell [2] and Luigi Cacace netted for YGSC.
Stalin Naranjo, the Inter BDA coach, said they have retained much of last season’s squad and hope to add to their trophy collection this term.
“Although some players have left the island, we have brought in young men from Bermuda who have joined the team, and we have strengthened our roster,” he told Bernews.
“We have been working since the first few weeks of August with the goal of going far in every competition.
“Our vision is to continue growing as a group, as a team, and as an organisation – to create a secure environment with a positive atmosphere, and to help football in Bermuda grow in every respect.”
