After 24 hours of speculating which team the Arizona Cardinals would be trading star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. to, fans finally have their answer.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter dropped a bombshell on Saturday morning, reporting the Cardinals were “finalizing” a deal to trade Harrison Jr. However, he didn’t name which team the Cardinals were in talks with.
The Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers, Indianapolis Colts, and several others were rumored to be in on Harrison Jr. but were quickly ruled out after Schefter’s report. With Week 5 now in the books for the Cardinals, they finally finalized a trade that will send Harrison Jr. to the Houston Texans.
“Trade: the Arizona Cardinals have agreed to trade WR Marvin Harrison Jr. and 2027 7th-round pick to the Houston Texans in exchange for a 2027 2nd-round pick and 2027 6th-round pick, per @rapsheet and me,” Schefter reported.

The move reunites Harrison Jr. with his former college quarterback C.J. Stroud. The duo were one of the best QB-WR tandems in the country, combining for 88 catches, 1,402 yards, and 17 touchdowns over two seasons with the Ohio State Buckeyes.
It also brings an end to a forgettable two-plus year stint with the Cardinals for Harrison Jr., who has just five catches for 85 yards and one touchdown through four games this season.
Houston now has one of the top wide receiver groups in the AFC.
Harrison Jr. joins two-time Pro Bowler Nico Collins, who has 14 catches, 193 yards, and three touchdowns this season, plus Kayshon Boutte, Jaylin Noel, Xavier Hutchinson, and Tank Dell, who’s out with a significant knee injury.
