The health technology company Ultrahuman seeks to go a step beyond simply selling wearable devices with the development of a new biological age model based on Artificial Intelligence (AI). This system will combine clinical biomarkers with signals collected by its new device, a smart ring, to estimate a person's rate of aging and identify the factors that speed up or slow down this process, focusing on preventive health analysis.
'Although the brand is known primarily for its hardware, the company's vision is aimed at the intelligent processing of information from the body. As its CEO, Mohit Kumar, explained: "If we look at Ultrahuman as a company, obviously we have the Ultrahuman Ring, which is a way to obtain data from the human body. But really, what matters to us is not just the design, the ring, but what we do with this data".'
The smart ring will prevent diseases
The longevity algorithm is being designed in an open and interoperable way to allow the integration of information from multiple formats, such as wristbands, patches, and clinical tests. In this way, the platform seeks to track variations in metabolism, cardiovascular health, sleep, and physical activity, comparing the user's chronological age with their actual biological metrics.
"To validate and deploy this algorithm on a larger scale, the company has established strategic partnerships aimed at national preventive medicine. According to Kumar, "we will implement an algorithm using data from the United Arab Emirates," also ensuring that the startup will not have access to personally identifiable information during the research process.'
This initiative is part of Ultrahuman's strategy to lead global preventive health and its technological evolution plans, which include the development of rings capable of running software on the device itself and managing everything from advanced AI interactions to gaming functions.
