Playwright Kat Sandler found inspiration in the Slavic folklore around Baba Yaga for a 2019 play she called Yaga. Now, she's adapted her script into a supernatural horror-laced mystery series centered around the disappearance of a playboy intrigued by witchcraft.
With its first two episodes, Yaga introduces a chilly coastal community, in which Henry Park (Hudson Williams), heir to a local commercial fishery, has gone missing. Family friend and private investigator Rapp (Noah Reid) returns to his childhood home to find the MIA stud, and in his place finds a doppelgänger named Logan (also played by Williams).

In a more official capacity, police officer Carson (Clark Backo) pursues interviews with those who know Henry, including a bone-fixated professor (Carrie-Anne Moss). But at the center of this story is the question, is witchcraft real? And if so, what does that mean for Henry and his friends?
If Yaga's got you craving more supernatural series with thrills, mysteries, and spooky fun, we've got you covered with some spell-binding suggestions.

Their vices are many, ranging from substance abuse and violence to sex, sex, and sex. But a high price must be paid for their sins, and Death has come to collect in the form of a sexy, magical woman.

Interview with the Vampire
Okay, sure, I could have gone with Mayfair Witches, another dark magic show on AMC. However, its sibling series Interview with the Vampire just has more bite.
Adapted from Anne Rice's the Vampire Chronicles, this series follows the toxic romance of undead lovers Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) and Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) across centuries. The first two seasons focus on Louis' side of their story, while Season 3 offers The Vampire Lestat. Rich with sex, murder, and big feelings, this supernatural drama is highly rewatchable. Plus, Yaga fans can look for Noah Reid in the third season, where he pops up as Lestat's moody guitarist Larry.
Starring: Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, Eric Bogosian, Bailey Bass, Assad Zaman, Delainey Hayles, Ben Daniels, Joseph Potter, and Jennifer Ehle
How to watch: Interview with the Vampire and The Vampire Lestat are now streaming on AMC+.
