Preliminary post-mortem findings show pressure on the neck caused the death of the AKPS officer found at a government staff quarters in Nilai. Three stab wounds were also found.
SEREMBAN: Police said preliminary post-mortem findings showed that pressure applied to the neck caused the death of the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) officer found at a government staff quarters in Nilai.
Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the finding followed a nearly five-hour post-mortem examination that began at 9.40 am today at Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital here.
“The examination also found three stab wounds inflicted with a sharp weapon, two on the abdomen and one on the right cheek,” he said in a statement.
On Oct 15, the woman, who was in her 30s, was found dead at the quarters after she was believed to have been stabbed by her husband, reportedly following a misunderstanding.
Alzafny had earlier said police received a report about the incident at 9.30 pm after the victim’s husband, also in his 30s, turned himself in at the Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi police station in Sepang, Selangor, and reported her death.
He was subsequently remanded until Oct 22 to assist in the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
