The blue-chip technology giant Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) appears poised to resume its rise – broken by the early 2026 stock market plummet – with its next quarterly earnings, per most of the notes issued since Monday, October 12.
To begin with, Raimo Lenschow from Barclays and Deutsche Bank’s Brad Zelnick reiterated their previous ‘Buy’ ratings at the start of this week, and both raised their 12-month MSFT share price targets to $600 – the former from the previous $512 and the latter from $550.
Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) Adam Wood opted for the same outlook on the same day, though his $600 forecast was notably the same as his previous estimate.
Furthermore, on Tuesday, October 13, JPMorgan’s (NYSE: JPM) Samik Chatterjee proved slightly more bullish as he confirmed the $625 price target for the next 12 months – 15% higher than the latest closing price of $543.45 – and the previous positive recommendation.
Meanwhile, a Monday Phillip Securities note came as an outlier, as it involved a Microsoft stock rating downgrade to ‘Neutral’ and a slightly bearish forecast – $515 for a 5.24% retracement from the latest close.
Analysts predict Microsoft stock price in 2027
Zooming out, the ratings provided on and after Monday came in as slightly more optimistic than the average of the last three months.
Indeed, Microsoft stock is, overall, considered a ‘Strong Buy’ by Wall Street experts, with thirty-five positive, two ‘Hold’, and no ‘Sell’ recommendations, per the data Finbold retrieved from TipRanks on October 14.
The average 12-month price target is slightly more conservative than the majority of this week’s notes, and estimates MSFT shares will rise 8.30% to $588.56 by the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2027.

However, the Street high forecast was assigned earlier in October and came on the first day of the month when Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC) analyst Michael Turrin upgraded his assessment from $700 to $725 for a 33.41% predicted rally.
Notably, Turrin’s track record indicates that his price target might be overly optimistic, as the data that Finbold retrieved from TipRanks on Wednesday shows his success rate is 45% and that the average return on his ratings is at a negative 1.2%.
