Endeavor Catalyst, the venture capital arm of global entrepreneur network Endeavor, has closed its oversubscribed Fund V at US$320 million, taking its total assets under management past US$850 million.
Endeavor Catalyst invests exclusively in companies led by Endeavor Entrepreneurs, co-investing alongside leading venture capital and growth equity firms. Across its five funds, it has already backed 437 companies in 44 markets, deploying more than US$500 million across 469 investments.
Africa makes up seven per cent of both the portfolio and Catalyst capital, with 29 companies backed across five African markets, including the likes of Flutterwave, Moniepoint, MAX and Moove. Six of these are valued at US$1 billion or more. A decade ago, the fund had made no African investments.
Fund V has already backed 30 companies and deployed more than US$55 million, with a further US$25 million to US$30 million expected to be invested before the end of 2026.
“For the founders we have yet to welcome into the Endeavor community, it sends an important signal: world-class capital is looking for ambition, wherever that ambition is being built,” said Ireayo Oladunjoye, managing director and CEO of Endeavor Nigeria.
