Georgia Tech is gearing up for its homecoming matchup against Boston College and getting its third win of the season.
We are at the halfway point of the season, and that makes it a good time to revisit the offseason. This was a pivotal offseason for the Yellow Jackets, as they lost both coordinators and had a lot of roster turnover, which is not super uncommon in college football nowadays.
When looking at the players who left the Yellow Jackets this offseason, how have they fared at their new schools?
QB Aaron Philo- Florida
Philo was the highest-profile transfer out of Georgia Tech, and until he suffered an injury that kept him out of the Gators win over Texas last weekend, he was leading one of the best offenses in the country.
Philo has thrown for 1,341 yards this season, nine touchdowns, three interceptions, and is completing 70% of his passes. He also holds a PFF grade of 84.2 in 274 snaps. Florida is 5-2 and ranked No. 20 heading into next Saturday's game vs No. 5 Georgia.
