Eberechi Eze is reportedly set to perform a Cristiano Ronaldo celebration when he next scores for Arsenal, following a challenge unrelated to football. The attacker has several celebrations associated with him, including a religious gesture that reflects his faith.
His next goal could look different after he lost a gaming contest and was challenged to change his routine. The result has created an unusual talking point ahead of his next appearance for the Gunners.
IShowSpeed sets Eze a celebration challenge
According to Independent Sport, Eze lost a best of three EA Sports FC contest against internet influencer IShowSpeed. After winning the series, Speed challenged the Arsenal player to perform a Ronaldo celebration the next time he finds the net.
IShowSpeed has recently played the football video game against several players. Against Eze, the influencer came out on top and was able to set the condition for the forward’s next goal celebration.
The challenge means Eze may have to put aside the gestures supporters are used to seeing from him. If he scores for Arsenal, attention could turn to whether he follows through on the agreement made after the gaming defeat.

Eze still wants more starts at Arsenal
Away from the contest, Eze remains a key player for Arsenal but is not a guaranteed starter. He has been working to convince manager Mikel Arteta to give him more starts and establish himself more regularly in the team.
Even when his time on the pitch is limited, the attacker can make a difference. His ability to create chances and find scoring positions means he can influence matches whether he starts or comes on as a substitute.
If he finds the net, his contribution to Arsenal will matter most, but his celebration could also draw attention because of the challenge set by Speed.
For now, the gaming wager is a lighthearted subplot to Eze’s season. His priority remains making an impact for Arsenal, while the contest has added an extra talking point to his next opportunity to score.
