Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich will miss Sunday's Bundesliga at Freiburg in the wake of a family bereavement, Sky TV have reported.
Kimmich has been absent since Tuesday, missed the Champions League match against Arsenal the next day, with Bayern saying this was "due to a passing in his immediate family.
"On behalf of the family, we ask that his privacy and grief be respected, and that further inquiries and reporting be refrained from. We send our deepest condolences to Joshua Kimmich and his loved ones," Wednesday's club statement said.
Bundesliga leaders Bayern are also without injured winger Luis Díaz in Freiburg, who are one point behind them in third place.
