Salem district received 152.10 mm of rainfall over the past 24 hours that ended at 8 a.m. on Thursday (October 22). On Wednesday night, rain began in a few parts of the district and stopped in the wee hours of Thursday.
Of the total 152.10 mm registered in the district, Yercaud received the highest at 42 mm, followed by 35 mm in Danishpet, 21.2 mm in Sankari, 13 mm in Puludikkuttai, 11 mm in Omalur, 10 mm in Edappadi, 9.6 mm in Omalur, 4.5 mm in Salem, 3 mm in Yethapur, 1.8 mm in Attur, and 1 mm in Kariyakovil Valavu.
Likewise, Namakkal district received 35.30 mm of rainfall, including 11 mm in Paramathi Velur, 7.80 mm in Kumarapalayam, 5.50 mm in Namakkal, 4 mm in Kolli Hills Semmedu, 3 mm in Mangalapuram, 2 mm in Collectorate, 1 mm each at Erumapatti and Puduchatram.
