Besides a win, do the Carolina Panthers have something to gain out of the "City of Brotherly Love" this week?
Jimmy Kempski of Philly Voice, in an analysis from Thursday, assessed the trade values of potential sell candidates for the Philadelphia Eagles. Among the seven players listed, three—according to Kempski—could pique the interest of the Panthers.
He starts off with cornerback Riq Woolen, who is likely to be elsewhere after 2026:
Woolen was always sort of a one-year rental for the Eagles. This offseason they're very likely to sign Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean to lucrative contract extensions. They're not going to be able to afford to also keep Woolen.
The 27-year-old defender would be able to help patch up a secondary missing their starting corners in Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson, both of whom aren't expected back anytime soon. Plus, Woolen's size (6-foot-4 and 210 pounds) and previous background with the Seattle Seahawks will, if it hasn't already, catch the eye of Panthers general manager Dan Morgan.
Kempski also links Carolina to tight end Dallas Goedert and three-time Pro Bowl left guard Landon Dickerson. But being that the Panthers have a pretty stable tight end room as well as one of the NFL's best left guards in Damien Lewis, Goedert and Dickerson don't make nearly as much sense as Woolen would.
Nevertheless, Morgan and his front office will be getting a close look at the entire Eagles squad—including those they may or may not be interested in—on Sunday.
