Barcelona loanee Ronald Araujo was on target again for Liverpool on Tuesday night in their Champions League tie against Villarreal.
The defender was on target in Liverpool’s last Champions League outing against LASK and bagged again in Europe to make it 2-2 at Anfield.
The Reds had started poorly and went 2-0 down thanks to goals from Georges Mikautadze and Sergi Cardona. Alexis Mac Allister then pulled one back before Araujo came up with the goods again.
Villarreal failed to convincingly clear a corner, allowing Liverpool’s Rio Ngumoha to dink in a ball to the far post for Araujo to head home and make it 2-2 at half-time.

Araujo now has two goals and an assist from three Champions League matches for Liverpool this season as he also bagged an assist against Atletico Madrid.
The Uruguay international’s goal comes after he spoke about his future ahead of the match. He told a news conference how he and his family are happy on Merseyside but it’s far too early to talk about staying on past the end of the current campaign.
