The New England Patriots saw their three-game winning streak get snapped by the Chicago Bears, 30-24, on Thursday at Soldier Field.
The Bears cooled off the Patriots, who had gained steam after an awful start. Drake Maye went 24-of-31 for 321 yards and two touchdowns, but it was not enough to fend off Chicago.
In the third quarter, Will Campbell was whistled for a false start, leading to a five-yard penalty for New England on third-and-1.

After the game, coach Mike Vrabel was asked about the infraction. He, however, chose to bite his lip.
“I don’t know. I’m not in very good favor with the officiating department, so I probably shouldn’t say anything,” said Vrabel, as quoted by the Boston Herald’s Doug Kyed.
Before the game, Vrabel was fined $250,000 by the NFL for disrespectful conduct toward game officials. The sanction was placed in abeyance, meaning it can be repealed or waived if Vrabel maintains good behavior.
Vrabel heavily criticized a call during the Patriots’ win over the Buffalo Bills in Week 4. He claimed that the game officials were “a little sensitive.”
“I told him it was a terrible call. I’m not going to say ‘effing.’ I’ve said that 87 times since I’ve been a head coach. It was nothing derogatory. You’d have to ask him,” explained Vrabel, as quoted by Yahoo! Sports’ Aryan Chadha.
The Patriots cut the Bears’ lead to six points with 37 seconds left after Andy Borregales scored on a 47-yard field goal. Chicago, however, retrieved the ensuing onside kick.
New England fell to 4-3, while Chicago improved to 5-2.
