Ankit Jain, former managing director of Dyson India, has launched Foundry, a consumer technology company focused on premium home appliances. The company is developing appliances using proprietary, patent-pending technology, with its initial product range focused on the kitchen.
Foundry has raised Rs 12 crore in a pre-seed funding round co-led by BEENEXT and Kettleborough VC. The round also saw participation from Rishubh Satiya of Plix, Anindita Sampath of Yoga Bar, and Anita Pramoda of Owned Outcomes.
The proceeds will be used to support technology development and product engineering as Foundry prepares to launch its first range of kitchen appliances in the second half of 2027, the company said in a press release.
Foundry aims to develop appliances that combine proprietary technology with industrial design and materials suited to modern homes. The company plans to expand into other categories beyond the kitchen.
