The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has officially sworn in 68 new Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs).
The formal induction took place on Monday, October 12, 2026, at the Main Courtroom of the Supreme Court complex in Abuja.
The ceremony was held to coincide with the commencement of the 2026/2027 New Legal Year.
The Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) confirmed the development in a news flash on its official X handle on Monday, sharing videos and images from the ceremony.

Available information indicated that out of the 68 legal practitioners admitted into the Inner Bar, 67 are advocates and one is an academic.
The 68 designates completed their mandatory pre-conferment induction right before being officially sworn in to uphold the highest level of discipline, integrity, and ethical standards in the Nigerian legal system.
