(ANSA) - PRAGA, 14 OTT - The global challenges facing industry and logistics during a period of strategic realignment in Europe and profound international changes will be the main theme of the fourth Italian-Czech Business Forum, “Redefining Europe’s Strategic Map.” The event will take place tomorrow, October 15, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic in Prague, according to a statement from the Italian Embassy in Prague.
The national strategies of the respective governments will be presented by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Czech Republic, Alena Schillerová, and by the Deputy Minister of Commerce and Made in Italy, Valentino Valentini.
“In 2026, the Italian-Czech Business Forum will focus on the decisions that will redefine Europe’s economic landscape,” stated Danilo Manghi, President of CAMIC. “Italy and the Czech Republic are linked by strong industrial ties and complementary positions along the North-South axis of the European continent. On this basis, CAMIC is committed to fostering connections between Italian and Czech companies and transforming established relationships into strategic partnerships. Supply chain security, the transformation of key manufacturing and supply sectors, and transportation infrastructure: these are the areas that will determine Europe’s competitiveness today, and Italy and the Czech Republic have great potential for joint development,” Manghi said.
“The Business Forum is another building block in the extraordinary cooperation we are experiencing between Italy and the Czech Republic. It takes place two weeks after the meeting in Prague between Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, during which the adoption of the Italian-Czech Action Plan was confirmed, and on the same day that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Petr Macinka, met in Rome with the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani,” emphasized Ambassador Alessandro Gaudiano.
The Italian-Czech Business Forum is organized by the Italian-Czech Chamber of Commerce (Camic), the Interparliamentary Friendship Groups of the Czech and Italian Parliaments, the Italian Embassy in Prague, and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Rome, in coordination with the Italian and Czech Parliaments and in collaboration with the Italian state agency ICE, Confindustria East Europe, the Confederation of Industry and Transport of the Czech Republic, the Italian Association for Foreign Trade, and the Association of Freight Forwarders and Logistics of the Czech Republic. The event takes place under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.
