Hanmi Semiconductor Launches Hanmi USA in Silicon Valley

(Provided by Hanmi Semiconductor) At the Hanmi USA office located in San Jose, California, major executives and employees including Hanmi Semiconductor Chairman Kwak Dong-shin gathered on Oct. 16 to hold an opening ceremony for the local corporation. Hanmi Semiconductor announced on Oct. 19 that, through Hanmi USA, it will begin full-scale sales and support activities targeting global semiconductor companies and big tech firms concentrated in Silicon Valley. The company’s plan is to respond preemptively to rapidly increasing demand for semiconductor manufacturing equipment as memory, foundry, and advanced packaging production bases expand in the United States. Hanmi USA will focus on enhancing real-time responsiveness to local customers. In line with the operating schedules of new plants global semiconductor companies are building in the United States, the company decided to deploy skilled engineers directly on site. They will provide close technical support across the entire process, from equipment operation to maintenance, with the aim of maximizing customer satisfaction. The supply lineup includes Thermal Compression (TC) bonders for high-bandwidth memory (HBM), considered a core technology in artificial intelligence semiconductor manufacturing, as well as Micro Saw & Vision Placement (MSVP), TC bonders for 2.5D packaging, and flip-chip (FC) bonders. Hanmi Semiconductor said it expects its broad equipment lineup to play an essential role in advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes in the United States. Regarding the significance of establishing the corporation, Chairman Kwak Dong-shin said the United States is a key market leading global semiconductor technology, adding, "Hanmi USA will provide close technical support to customers in the United States and further strengthen our competitiveness in the global market by expanding cooperation with global semiconductor companies."
