Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has suggested what would make the South-West support an Igbo presidency.
According to him, the South-West could support an Igbo presidency if the South-East backs President Bola Tinubu’s second-term bid.
Soludo said this while addressing his followers in a video, stressing that presidential power depended on discussions and agreements among political stakeholders.

He said, “Presidency is about discussion and agreement.
“Now that President Tinubu, from the South-West, is in power, if we in the South-East support him, then when power returns to the South after going to the North, the South-West will support an Igbo presidency.”
The South-East has long sought to produce Nigeria’s president, with former Anambra State governor Peter Obi contesting the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the Labour Party, finishing third in the race.
