Three suspects accused of aiding and abetting the shooting and murder of the owner of the Dragon Restaurant in Kalutara have been arrested.
The shooting took place on Oct. 09, killing the restaurant owner at the scene. His wife, who was admitted to hospital with serious injuries, later died in hospital.
The suspects were arrested last night (Oct. 15) by the Kalutara District Crime Division, which was investigating the double murder.
The suspects, aged 24, 26 and 36, are residents of Kalutara South and Agalawatta, according to reports.
Police have also taken into custody a motorcycle, 02 mobile phones, 01 g of Crystal Methamphetamine (‘Ice’) and a three-wheeler suspected to have been stolen, which were in the suspects’ possession.
Further investigations are underway by the Kalutara South Police.
