The Giants can’t wait to get back on the field after last week’s overtime debacle against the Commanders.
They have a chance to put it all behind them at home when they host the Saints Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium.
Interestingly, the Giants are home underdogs despite having the better regular season record than the Saints. The Giants are also 4-1 against the spread, including 2-0 as home dogs.
Still, oddsmakers at Caesars Sportsbook have the Saints as 1.5-point favorites with the Over/Under sitting at 46 total points.
Giants vs. Saints prediction
The Giants may not be viewed as an actual contender, but they are still leading their division despite losing their starting quarterback in Week 2. Jameis Winston has filled in admirably as the backup and looks more comfortable with each start.

He still makes some decisions that likely have his coaches holding their collective breath. However, the G-Men were dead in the water last week before Winston turned things around for them in the fourth quarter. He also engineered two drives in a wet and sloppy overtime that ended in a missed field goal and lost fumble by a gloveless Cam Skattebo.
Flaws and all, this offense still looks like it can produce with Winston under center.
The same can be said about the Saints, too.
New Orleans is just 1-4 on the season and coming off its lowest scoring game of the season, but the context is important. The Saints took on the Vikings, arguably the NFL‘s best defensive unit top to bottom.
Tyler Shough was seeing ghosts against the Vikes. Still, he has been slinging the ball like one of the best passers this season.

Both defenses in this matchup can be exploited. They each blitz at high rates, but force opposing quarterbacks to hurry out of the pocket at rates that rank near the bottom of the league.
There will be plenty of opportunities to score in this one, and I like the Over at 46.
The Pick: Over 46 (-110, Caesars)
