Cyber risk is the leading concern of Moroccan experts, ahead of artificial intelligence and big data, according to Axa’s 13th Future Risks Report, produced with Ipsos. The survey, relayed by Le Matin daily, questioned 28,345 people between 14 May and 24 June, including 4,345 experts across 62 countries and regions and 24,000 members of the public in 19 countries.
Globally, experts ranked AI and big data first for the first time, ahead of climate change, which fell to second. Geopolitical instability, cyber risks and energy risks followed.
Among the 129 Moroccan experts surveyed, cyber risks came first, followed by AI and big data and then climate change. Future of work, pandemics and demographic shifts also featured in the Moroccan top ten, although social fragmentation and natural resources did not.
The Moroccan public saw things differently. Pandemics and infectious diseases ranked first, followed by climate change, chronic diseases and AI. Some 87% of Moroccan respondents said raising children is harder than it was for previous generations.
On preparedness, about 53% of Moroccans said they felt well or fairly well prepared for a major crisis, while 44% did not. Some 85% of respondents believe their main concerns can be at least partly avoided.
