It’s all go in Celebrity Traitors: a murder in plain sight is underway, nerves are at an all-time high (we’re looking at you, James Acaster) and, in a move that appears to have gone unnoticed, Miranda Hart has made an emotional decision that proves she’s about to be deceived. Oh, Miranda.
While the rest of the players are trying desperately work out who they can trust, Miranda appears to have let her emotions get the better of her. At the last round table, Joe Lycett’s fate was sealed as everyone scribbled down his name – but one person didn’t and that was Miranda. Why? Because she couldn’t bring herself to write her friend’s name down. Sweet.
But in a game where being too friendly can spell disaster, it’s not looking good for our beloved comedian. Here’s why she’s about to be deceived...
The big decision

Now, we all knew Miranda and Joe Lycett had formed a special connection in the castle, but at episode 6’s Round Table, Miranda made a decision that appeared to seal her fate. As the players shared their observations, it quickly became clear that everyone would be voting for Joe Lycett who appeared to have made himself the obvious Traitor in the room (spoiler: he was not). One by one, each celebrity voted for Joe and then it was Miranda’s turn: Ross Kemp, she laughed.
Unfortunately for Miranda, her emotions took hold, the rational side of her brain stopped working and she made it clear to everyone at the table (and us at home, we should add) that tonight, she wasn’t playing the game. Instead, she was playing from the heart and she would protect her friends no matter what. Could she be the nicest Faithful in Traitors history? Quite possibly.
The aftermath

When the all-important decision had been made, the emotions kept coming. As Joe revealed his Faithful status, Miranda’s reaction was instant: “Oh my God, my love was real!” she said. It was a touching moment that made the nation fall in love with her all over again. And so upset Miranda was that she couldn’t stop thinking – or talking – about it. “I can’t believe how emotional I’m getting,” Miranda told James. “Connection and laughter and joy are bigger than this game – and to meet someone and just play and laugh – it’s all us humans need, you know?”
“You’re my main Faithful”

Unfortunately for Miranda, her loyalties don’t stop with Joe. King Kenny also appears to have won her heart in quite a big way. When he was recruited in episode 5, it was a genius move by Traitors Maya and James. No one suspected him, least of all Miranda. “You’re my main Faithful” she told Kenny at the breakfast table, much to his inner delight. And she didn’t stop there, warning him to keep his eyes peeled for anyone acting different. “If you’re suddenly a Traitor, you’re going to be on high alert,” she said. His response? “I agree”. Sadly for Miranda, King Kenny just proved he had successfully lured her in.
Little Mix-ing it up

Miranda’s next BBF? Leigh-Anne Pinnock. Viewers will remember what might just be the TV moment of the year (or does Richard E. Grant win that?) - Leigh-Anne teaching Miranda the moves to Little Mix’s hit song Touch. Leigh-Anne was Little Mix, Miranda was Big Mix. The moment was so good it’s since spread online like wildfire and Leigh-Anne has now shared a makeshift poster for “Big Mix: The Tour” on Instagram, featuring pictures of her and Miranda singing into microphones. Unfortunately, there is no actual tour. But if Leigh-Anne’s post is anything to go by, her love for Miranda appears to suggest that the comedian doesn't go on to betray the Little Mix star – but as for Leigh-Anne? We have a feeling she's setting Miranda up for a fall.
The murder

If you were a Traitor, would you let Miranda carry on being the best Faithful there ever was, befriending everyone and refusing to banish her friends? Of course, you wouldn’t. Because the last thing the Traitors need is a good Faithful: someone who’ll do whatever it takes to protect the people she cares about most.
Yes, keeping her around might work in the short term, but the moment Miranda gets a whiff of a Traitor, they won't hear the end of it. While friendship might make you blind to someone’s flaws, once you realise your so-called friends have been messing you, there’s nothing more dangerous than a betrayed best mate...
