Charles Barkley is not letting Aaron Rodgers off the hook for how he has been speaking about his ex-girlfriends.
The former NBA star spoke out about the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback following his viral podcast moments last month, where he called out Danica Patrick and Shailene Woodley. Speaking on his own career -- Barkley has made it known he is ready to leave Inside the NBA -- he made a comparison to how he will handle it better than Rodgers speaking poorly about his exes.
“I tell you what though, I’m not gonna bury everybody going out the door like Aaron,” Barkley quipped, per Awful Announcing. “I’m not gonna burn every bridge and talk bad about all my exes on my way out the door like he’s doing.”
Barkley has been on Inside the NBA with Kenny Smith, Shaquille O'Neal, and Ernie Johnson Jr. for 26 seasons.
What did Aaron Rodgers say about his exes?
Rodgers did not hold back during his conversation on his teammate Cam Heyward's Not Just Football podcast last month, about dating Danica Patrick and Shailene Woodley.
“I dated Danica [Patrick]. She had just retired. She was depressed and not fun to be around, but I didn’t leave her because I was trying to be there and be a good partner,” Rodgers recalled to Heyward.
He added that she has been misleading about how they broke up as well. The former couple dated from January 2018 to July 2020.
“She tells a story that, ‘I was so blindsided by getting left by you, and he leaves a trail of blood around.’ I’m like what are you talking about? That is not what happened by any means,” Rodgers said.
As for Woodley, the couple dated from 2020 to April 2022. The Super Bowl champion proposed to the actress in December 2020. He alleged that Woodley told him that she wanted to be intimate with another man before they got married. Rodgers also claimed that after he proposed, she took the ring off by March.
Patrick nor Woodley have directly responded to Rodgers' statements.
