Wavlink has introduced the BlitZDockM, a Thunderbolt 5 dock with a total of 15 ports. A big highlight of this docking station is the M.2 slot that can hold a PCIe 4.0x4 SSD.
The company claims that the user-installed SSD in this dock can deliver read speeds up to 6,200 MB/s, while the advertised write speed is 5,900 MB/s. These aren't the top speeds a PCIe 4.0x4 drive can offer, but they are fast enough to make the docking station ideal for creative professionals who work with large files.
There are a total of three Thunderbolt 5 ports on this dock, with two of them being downstream ports. They can offer 15W of power, but have a rated transfer speed of 80Gbps (4-feet Silkland Thunderbolt 5 cable curr. $23.66 on Amazon). These two also come with video output support, maxing out at 8K@60Hz.
As for the third, it's a Thunderbolt 5 upstream port, and it's meant for the host. It has 140W PD fast charging support, meaning there won't be any need to connect another cable to charge the connected device or laptop.
With the two Thunderbolt 5 downstream and two HDMI ports, the dock brings quad-display output support. In addition to these, there are three 10Gbps USB-A, one 10Gbps USB-C, one SD slot, one TF slot, and one 3.5mm audio port. The dock also features a 2.5GbE port, which can come in handy for those who might require a speedy wired connection to a home network setup.
Other highlights of the Wavlink BlitZDockM include a dual-fan cooling setup, a sleek design, and compatibility with Windows and Mac systems. There's no concrete word on the price and availability yet, but the Thunderbolt 5 dock is expected to launch globally in late December 2026.
