Central Park in Delhi Connaught Place to remain shut on October 16, 17: NDMC ahead of CJP's march

“The Central Park in Connaught Place, New Delhi, where the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has called for “Tiranga Lehrao” demonstration tomorrow (October 16, 2026) will be closed for general public on October 16 and 17,” New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) said in a public notice. It cited “administrative reasons” for the closing of park.

In the notice dated October 15, the civic body said, “It is hereby informed that the Central Park, Connaught Place, shall remain closed for general public on October 16 and 17, 2026 due to administrative reasons.”

The CJP is scheduled to take out a "Lehra do Tiranga" march at Central Park in Connaught Place on Friday (October 16, 2026). The park closure notice was issued by the NDMC director.
