Hollywood actor Tom Holland is expanding his role on the Hollywood scene as he moves beyond acting. With the upcoming thriller ‘Penthouse’, Holland is set to star in and produce it on behalf of Billy17.
Holland will produce the film alongside his production partners, Harry Holland and Will South. They will be working under a production company that the three of them founded and launched in 2024, called Billy17.
The original idea of this project was developed by Drew Pearce, who will also serve as a screenwriter and co-producer. The storyline, cast, and release date of the film are yet to be announced.
Before he launched his production company, Holland had executive produced Uncharted (2022), in which he also starred in as Nathan Drake, and The Crowded Room (2023), where he starred in as Danny Sullivan.
When Holland launched Billy17 in December 2024, he said that it was always his ambition to take the step of being a producer for quite some time. His company later signed a producing deal with Sony Pictures, which allowed it to develop projects for the studio.
Before the announcement of Penthouse, the company was already developing a film called Burnt, where Holland will also star in and produce. These production deals give Holland more opportunities to participate in projects and be seen beyond his best-known role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man at Marvel Studios.
Holland’s role as a producer does not mean that he is considering leaving acting behind; instead, he is growing to pursue both roles.
