Affluence Global Namibia, a subsidiary of Affluence Global, through its product called ‘Double Red Rose’ donated food and baby supplements worth
N$30 000 to children and vulnerable communities in Namibia recently.
The two charity organisations that benefited from the donation are Home of Good Hope and Lechem Foundation based in Windhoek and Okahandja, respectively.
Okuryangava-based Home of Hope feeds about 1 500 children daily within the Samora Machel constituency of the Khomas region, while Lechem Foundation distributes essential food supplies to nearly 18 community soup kitchens across Okahandja, Windhoek and surrounding areas.
Ratonda Katjivikua, Affluence Global’s country director, shared with the publication that as part of the organisation’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, they have identified the country’s pressing needs – hence the decision to donate to a charity that strives to make a difference in the society.
“The widespread poverty in Namibia made selecting the beneficiaries a challenging task for her team. We were deeply moved by the sheer scale of Home of Good Hope’s daily operations, as well as its profound impact on the local community,” she said.
Katjivikua highlighted how the organisation has touched countless hearts by transforming the lives of destitute children, helping them beat the odds to become exemplary citizens.
Remarkably, several alumni of the programme have gone on to qualify as teachers and lawyers today.
She stated that her organisation’s CSR programme is deeply committed to investing in youth development and their future.
“We are also aiming to transcend the societal belief that nothing positive will come from the young people of today. As one of the primary pillars of this initiative, the children of Home of Good Hope became the first beneficiaries of the project,” Katjivikua said.
Receiving the donation, Monica Imanga, the Home of Good Hope founder said the donation could not have come at a better time, adding that feeding over 1 500 children per day is no mean feat.
“The donation of this magnitude will help her institution provide much needed nutritional meals to the needy children in their surroundings. From the bottom of my heart thanks to Affluence Global for having dug that deep in its pockets for the young people of this great nation,” said Imanga.
Home of Good Hope also provides daily meals, primary education support, and essential health services to vulnerable children. Meanwhile, Jenefer Slinger, Lechem manager, expressed deep appreciation for the donation and thanked Affluence Global Namibia team for proactively reaching out to support the foundation.
Slinger noted that while her organisation is typically the one reaching out to corporate institutions to request assistance, Affluence Global uniquely extended a helping hand entirely on their own initiative.
“We will always remember this gesture of goodwill and wished Affluence Global Namibia continued success,” she said.
As a global institution, Affluence Global Namibia specialised in producing health supplements designed to boost human immunity, combat ailments, and eliminate ill-health while simultaneously fostering global economic empowerment and wealth.
