Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla announced on his X account the launch of a new digital platform that allows users to visualize the estimated cost of the U.S. blockade against Cuba in real time as they browse the site. Every second counts.
Guided by the premise that "every second counts," the new online repository, cubabloqueo.com, connects data from Cuba’s 2026 report to concrete impacts, including those related to medicines, fuel, water, and school resources.
Rodríguez Parrilla noted that the site is available in both Spanish and English, allows individual data points to be shared on social media, and offers the option to download the full report in either language.
The tool also serves as a useful resource for learning about—and raising awareness of—the consequences that this genocidal U.S. policy of economic strangulation has on the daily lives of the Cuban people.
Additionally, the site features videos and charts that are generated automatically during each user session.
