With two Purdue games to cover on this episode it stinks that the win doesn’t count but the loss does. That’s right, it’s exhibition basketball season and Purdue was able to get an easy win over the Ball State Cardinals. Purdue handled their business in Mackey Arena with plenty of new faces making a difference for the Boilermakers. It was nice to be back in Mackey and to see a team with 4/5 new starters get down to business so early in this one. The offense apparently will look quite a bit different if today was a true preview. A lot of threes incoming. A LOT of threes.
In the first half of the podcast though I talk about the loss to Washington on Friday night. It was a disheartening showing with the offense unable to put the ball in the end zone and the defense unable to get stops when it mattered.
