The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Katsina state, Senator Ahmed Babba Kaita, has unveiled a political structure known as ABK Katsina Links, comprising 141,107 members across the 34 local government areas of the state with a strong call for peaceful campaign.
Kaita unveiled the structure while addressing members and stakeholders of the group Monday in Katsina. He expressed his commitment to working with them towards achieving his political ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
While calling for peaceful campaign, Kaita said the interests of the people must remain the priority in every political undertaking, adding that he would ensure there is mutual understanding with any group he intended to work with.
“I urge you to respect one another and keep to your peaceful attitudes towards our campaign activities, because our success will come peacefully,” he said.
He stated further that political leaders must be sincere in their dealings with supporters and they must avoid actions that could offend or mislead them.
Kaita assured members of ABK Katsina Links of his readiness to work with them, adding that their interests and aspirations would be considered,
Commenting on the recent Katsina stakeholders’ meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, the former senator expressed concern over the composition of those who attended the meeting, particularly the presence of several elderly political figures.
