Students from the School of Technical Sciences (FTN) in Cacak said in a press release that they were followed by two Skoda vehicles during their “A Student in Every Village” campaign.
“What is particularly alarming is that our female fellow students were followed by those exact same vehicles late into the night,” the Cacak students said, adding that the unidentified individuals photographed their license plates in the parking lot and were also spotted near their offices.
A self-organized student group from Gornji Milanovac reported a similar experience, noting that unknown individuals in a BMW had been tracking them during their activities over the past few days. The group has formally reported the incidents to the police.
The students added that the same vehicle repeatedly followed a female fellow student at night to her home outside the city limits, and was also seen parked outside their student headquarters.
The students are demanding an immediate response and full legal action from law enforcement authorities.
“We do not know who is behind this, but it is clearly a coordinated attempt at intimidation aimed at distracting us from our organizing efforts and preparations for the upcoming elections,” the students from Gornji Milanovac said, emphasizing that they will not be intimidated.
