GWM Malaysia has added two dealerships in Johor and Selangor as vehicle deliveries rose 33 per cent year-on-year to 5,165 units in the first nine months of 2026.
The new outlets, GWM Skudai in Johor Bahru and GWM Equine Park in Seri Kembangan, bring the brand's nationwide network to more than 40 outlets covering its Haval, Tank, Ora and Wey marques.
GWM Skudai, operated by Auto Elegance Sdn Bhd, officially opened on Oct 8.
The 22,006 sq ft facility combines sales, service and spare parts operations, with three service bays and capacity to service about 150 vehicles a month.
It also has five vehicle display spaces, an electric vehicle charging station, diagnostic equipment and a dedicated vehicle delivery bay.
The outlet supports about 40 jobs across sales, technical, service and customer support functions.
Customers can view and test-drive selected models including the Haval H6, Wey G9, Tank 300, Tank 500 and Ora Good Cat.
Auto Elegance managing director Yang Ce said the company saw potential for the brand in Johor and wanted to build long-term relationships with local customers.
"We are proud to expand our partnership with GWM into Johor Bahru," he said, adding that the outlet aimed to provide customers with support from vehicle purchase through ownership.
GWM Equine Park, operated by Golden Admiral Motors Sdn Bhd, was officially opened on Oct 10, although its showroom began operations in April and its service centre opened in August.
The outlet serves customers in Seri Kembangan, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya and surrounding areas. Its showroom and service centre occupy separate premises with a combined built-up area of about 9,431 sq ft.
The showroom can accommodate at least seven vehicles, while the 3,661 sq ft service centre has four vehicle hoists, wheel-alignment and tyre-balancing equipment, and diagnostic facilities for internal combustion engine, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles.
Golden Admiral Motors managing director Datuk William Chang Yoong Hsi said the company had invested in facilities, equipment and staff to support customers over the longer term.
"Our goal is that every customer should feel welcomed, listened to and properly supported from the first vehicle enquiry and test drive to vehicle delivery, scheduled servicing and long-term ownership," he said.
GWM Malaysia managing director Stan Li Hao said network growth needed to be matched by consistent service standards.
"Our priority is not simply to add more locations, but to make our products and services more accessible while delivering a consistent experience at every customer touchpoint," he said.
Chief operating officer Roslan Abdullah said the company was also strengthening technical training, parts availability and dealer operating standards as its range expands across different powertrain technologies.
"A strong ownership experience depends on what happens after the vehicle leaves the showroom," he said.
