Two teenagers have been charged after allegedly stabbing a British tourist during a fight between two groups in central Cairns.
Police allege two groups were brawling on Spence St near the corner of Grafton St in Cairns City about 9.40pm on Monday.
During the alleged fight between the groups, a 25-year-old British tourist was stabbed in the leg.

She was taken to Cairns Base Hospital with serious injuries and gas since been discharged.
Another man, who police allege were part of the one of the two groups, also sustained a head injury.
A short time later, police arrested four teenagers nearby.
A 15-year-old was charged with one count each of assault occasioning bodily hard and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
A 16-year-old girl was charged with three counts of common assault.
Both teenagers are due to face a children’s court on October 21.

Detective Acting Inspector Matthew Hogan said police were continuing to investigate the cause of the fight, but said the British tourist’s injuries were “significant”.
“We’re still talking to the victims and witnesses to try and really get to the bottom of what started all this and how it’s flared up so quickly into serious injuries,” he said.
Bystanders and nearby security guards rushed to the 25-year-old’s side to help her before she was taken to the hospital.
“I know the first response officers did a great job with tactical first aid that we’re trained in these days and did their best,” he said.
