Aston Villa midfielder Johan Manzambi remains an injury doubt for Aston Villa’s Premier League game away to Manchester City on Saturday.
Manzambi scored the winner in Villa’s 1-0 victory over Newcastle United last Saturday but was forced off in the second half due to a knock.
The 21-year-old then missed Villa’s 3-1 win at home to Viking in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
‘We are training this afternoon with still some players clearly out, like [Amadou] Onana, [Matteo] Ruggeri and Aaron [Wan-Bissaka],’ Unai Emery said on Friday.

‘We will see how some are after the match on Wednesday but I can’t tell you now before the training session.’
Asked about the extent of Manzambi’s injury, Emery said: ‘It is not a big injury, but in case he doesn’t feel 100 per cent comfortable.
‘The plan is can you run? Can you touch the ball? This is the process.’
Manzambi has been in excellent form since joining Villa in the summer with three goals and two assists in six appearances.
